Today I was listening to “The Voice of Truth” (Casting Crowns) – and it hit me. Some of the voices that have been calling out to me have been saying, “failure”. As I’ve set my eyes on man’s timing, I’ve been feeling a modicum of failure to meet expectations, to get to Japan in others’ timing, and more dominantly, in my own timing. But that’s not the Voice of Truth. The truth is that only Your timing matters. That I am a success because I’m following You. That You sing with joy (!!!) over me. That my joy is in You, and Yours is in me.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, that Your voice – the Voice of Truth – is the only one that matters. We are not serving others, or ourselves. We are serving You. Thank you for freeing me from my own expectations.
