Last night, Peter and I had the pleasure of attending a Christmas concert at the Japanese Gospel Church of Toronto. We have been attending there once a month for the past several months, among other things to further exposure to the Japanese language. This Christmas concert was put on by seven different Japanese churches around Toronto, all of different denominations. We’ve never seen anything like it! In our experience, it’s a challenge to get two or three churches of the same denomination to work together. How wonderful it is when the family of God works together, and doesn’t only portray the bickering side of family life!

This is one thing that we’re really looking forward to when in Japan: because there are so few Christians, there is more collaboration across denominations. What a wonderful foretaste of unity to come…
