Dear Lost,
I know you’re frightened. I know you’ve been groping around in the dark. Feeling helpless. Feeling hopeless.
Feeling trapped in a soul-sucking tunnel-vortex-alternate reality, gradually coming to the inevitable realization that you’ll never escape this.
You hide yourself, distract yourself from your lostness.
In devotions, you placate your conscience. You play worship music without really listening. You read My book without absorbing a single word.
You do anything you can to avoid praying, to avoid connecting with Me. Because if you opened yourself up to My Truth, it would become real.
Your lostness would be on full display.
You couldn’t pretend it wasn’t there.
You’re not sure you could handle it then.
Because this lostness? It feels elemental, eternal, foundational, fundamental.
Something bigger than you.
Have you always been Lost? You start to wonder if you were deluding yourself before, if you’ve ever been any other way.
The wondering grows into a certainty.
There is nothing else. There never has been anything else.
Your lostness is no longer biting at the edges of your consciousness. It’s ravenous. Clamping its fangs into you, tearing you apart, brutally consuming and digesting you.
Lost, I see you.
I know that feels scary.
Being seen is scary.
You’d rather hide yourself away.
If someone sees your struggle, it becomes real.
But I have news for you. It’s always been real.
My seeing you doesn’t make it more real.
But it can make it less real.
You see... Your lostness has been lying to you.
I am the Eternal One.
The only Eternal One.
What if you reach out to Me?
What if you touch My cloak?
What do you think will happen?
I AM the Eternal One.
When you touch Me, the illusion shatters.
When you touch Me, you will remember something long forgotten. Something buried under the rubble of your sanity.
“I once was lost but now I’m found.”
You’ll be able to step out of that soul-obliterating, topsy turvy, upside down, nothing-makes-sense existence.
You’ll begin to remember:
Foundness isn’t just a state of being. It’s an identity.
You were never meant to be Lost.
Remember your true name, precious one!
Remember!
You are Found!
